Facilities Support Staff

Job Summary:

Currently, we have an opening for a dependable and meticulous Facilities Support Staff to become a part of our kitchen team. In this essential role within our back-of-house team, you will play a key part in ensuring the cleanliness and availability of dishware, supporting food safety protocols, and contributing to a well-maintained kitchen atmosphere. Responsibilities:

• Maintain a routine of washing and sanitizing dishes, cookware, and utensils consistently during the shift
• Keep kitchen tools such as mixers, stoves, ovens, and coffee machines free from dirt and grime
• Ensure the quick and effective busing of tables, returning dirty items promptly to the dish station
• Clear garbage, wash out trash receptacles, and adhere to waste disposal regulations
• Assist in arranging and replenishing sanitized dishes and cutlery in their respective areas
• Provide assistance with unloading shipments and storing inventory items appropriately
• Offer support in food prepping duties and assist with overall kitchen cleanliness as and when necessary
• Observe all health and safety protocols, especially those outlining the correct procedures for handling food

Qualifications and Experience:

• While it is beneficial, having worked in a dishwasher or kitchen support capacity in the past is not a prerequisite for this role
• Understanding of industrial-grade dishwashing equipment and protocols for maintaining cleanliness in food service areas
• Skillful in managing tasks proficiently in a dynamic and busy atmosphere
• A preference is given to candidates with a high school diploma or its GED counterpart
• Having strong skills in time organization and a sharp focus on specifics is important
• Adept at working together cohesively and communicating proficiently with team members
• Capacity to stand for prolonged periods and lift objects up to 50 pounds

Salary:

• The pay per hour falls in the range of $12 to $16, which is subject to variation based on individual qualifications, time commitment, and job competency.
