Starting wage: $20.00/Hr

Position Summary:

Transporting materials to and from their designated storage areas by operating a small industrial vehicle is an essential job function of the Inventory Control Specialist.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Ensure that you attend pre-shift meetings, which may include doing stretches as a group to warm up.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain productivity levels when driving a forklift.
• Whenever you discover a defect during the daily forklift check, take it out of service right away.
• By conducting Quality Reassurance Checks, you can ensure that products are delivered and received accurately and without damage.
• Stay vigilant of the surroundings to prevent any safety hazards or breaches and take necessary actions.
• Thoroughly fill out all necessary paperwork, ensuring all details are included and error-free.
• Accurately fulfill customer orders and adhere to any special instructions provided by the customer.
• Team up closely with the office personnel to ensure the accurate completion of inconsistencies and problematic matters.
• The warehouse needs to remain well-organized, with attention given to repairing damages and ensuring the storage of pallets in appropriate bins.
• Encourage a collaborative culture within your team and with other teams by communicating in an upbeat and cordial manner.
• The preservation of safe work practices, maintaining adherence to GMP rules, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining product quality is a must. Any practice or situation that may jeopardize food safety, personnel safety, or product quality should be reported to management
• The food safety and quality of MFI products are my top priorities and areas of focus.
• Safety policies and procedures must be strictly followed at all times.
• Attend to any other assignments as given.

Qualifications:

Educational and Vocational Qualifications:

• This job necessitates a candidate possessing a blend of education and experience that equates to a high school diploma or G.E.D
• The Powered Industrial Truck training program is incomplete without a forklift certification, which is necessary for success.
• Effective communication in English necessitates honing one's listening skills, as well as the ability to express oneself confidently and coherently.
• A proficient understanding of mathematics and configuration is vital
• The capability to analyze situations and determine the optimal course of action that promotes the company's interests while preserving the health and well-being of employees.

Education, Experience and Abilities Desired:

• The ideal candidate should come with a background of at least six months of experience in a warehouse that employs pallets.
• Effective social interaction skills are a prerequisite.
• While certification is not obligatory upon hire, it is preferred. All distribution operators will receive P.I.T. training that is approved by MFI at the start of their employment.
