Position Summary:

The responsibilities of this role entail overseeing the operation of digitalized processing systems, connecting storage containers, implementing clean-in-place procedures for both equipment and silos, managing the mixing process, and carrying out sanitation duties to achieve a high standard quality product output while upholding safe and hygienic work conditions.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Willingness and capacity to offer help in other departments of the company whenever necessary.
  • Monitoring the HTST processing system, CIP system, and documenting time, temperature, pressure and flow rates as per the company's protocol is a must-have skill. Recognition of any unusual activities within the system and taking prompt actions to minimize the damage to the product is crucial.
  • Grasping the functioning of an aseptic system is crucial in comprehending the interplay between sanitation, bacterial control, and sterilization with regards to maintaining high quality standards prescribed by the organization.
  • The proficiency to identify equipment problems and conduct minor maintenance repairs.
  • Consulted with the packaging supervisor to ensure the system's readiness for the prompt establishment and initiation of production operations.
  • Preparing for the production process involves thoroughly cleaning the silos, mix room, totes, pumps, UHT press, and connecting all the necessary CIP lines.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and troubleshooting of CIP systems to ensure their efficient functioning. Verify that all components are working optimally and address any issues as soon as they arise.
  • Ensures adequate chemical levels are present in drums and verifies proper functionality of equipment within chemical rooms to maintain optimal chemical levels as per company-mandated PPM for each chemical cycle.
  • Compose written reports and manage assigned logs, records, and other documentation mandated by the USDA and the organization.
  • Possess a thorough comprehension of the mixing area and its corresponding equipment. Meld finished goods utilizing stipulated mixing techniques.
  • Encourages transparent dialogue and a positive work ethic among colleagues.
  • Adheres to a regular and punctual attendance schedule.
  • The safety and quality of MFI products fall under my jurisdiction as the person in charge of food safety and quality.
  • Observe and comply with all the prescribed safety measures, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and maintain cleanliness to ensure that the quality of products remains uncompromised. Notify the management if any practices or conditions threaten the safety and quality of food or personnel safety.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as instructed.

Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications needed for this job include a combination of education and experience:

  • Safe work practices in high and tight spaces must be followed.
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal work hours and weekends may be necessary

  • A high school diploma, GED, or a comparable level of education is required.
  • This job requires some level of experience and/or training for a period of three to six months, or an equivalent combination of education and practice.
  • The skill to comprehend and decipher various texts, including safety regulations, manuals for operations and maintenance, and instructional guides.
  • Possessing the skill to create periodic reports and written communication.
  • Possessing the skill to communicate confidently and articulately before various audiences, such as clients, suppliers, and staff members, is crucial in any professional setting.
  • Proficiency in performing various arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, across all measurement units, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Proficiency in the calculation of rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as the skill to construct and analyze bar graphs, are essential for success in mathematics.
  • Capacity to utilize practical reasoning skills to execute directions given in written, verbal, or graphical format.
  • Demonstrated capacity to tackle challenges that involve multiple tangible factors within established situations.
  • Proficiency in organizing tasks and adhering to instructions while working independently.
  • The job requires versatility in performing various tasks and duties. The candidate should have the necessary skillset to handle different responsibilities.
