Job Summary:
Preventive maintenance services and thorough inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on equipment and vehicles are tasks carried out by the Commercial Vehicle Technician under general supervision.

- The completion of assigned tasks is achieved by following established procedures and written instructions with little supervision.
- Carries out restoration and allotted anticipatory maintenance services.
- Diagnosing, evaluating, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on motor vehicles and equipment is a part of their job role.
- Makes use of the complex computer systems integrated into modern vehicles to interpret failure modes and determine suitable courses of action.
- As a professional in the field of repairing automobiles, one must compute the expenses required for fixing cars and obtain new parts to perform the job.
- Displays proficiency in completing tasks well within the Standard Repair Time (SRT) limit.
- Rapid response is provided for unforeseen downtime situations.
- The process of carrying out safety checks on vehicles has become a necessity.
- The fleet maintenance software system is utilized to submit essential documentation, track part usage, and maintain accurate data pertaining to repair times.
- Works alongside senior Mechanics to help finish project tasks.
- After reviewing the Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, repairs that need to be done are marked out and appropriate actions taken. These could include completing the repairs or assigning them to other personnel.
- Maintains a secure and clean workspace while performing duties that are in line with Corporate and OSHA Standards for safety.
