Janitorial Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and attentive Janitorial Associate to join our kitchen team. Playing an essential role in the operations behind the scenes, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and availability of dishware, supporting food safety standards, and contributing to an orderly kitchen environment. Responsibilities:

• Consistently wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils to promote cleanliness and food safety throughout the shift
• Keep kitchen tools such as mixers, stoves, ovens, and coffee machines free from dirt and grime
• Remove items from tables in a timely manner and efficiently return them to the dish station for cleaning
• Take out trash, wash garbage bins, and follow proper waste disposal protocols
• Assist in the proper arrangement and restocking of sanitized dishes and utensils in the appropriate sections
• Help with unloading deliveries and storing inventory in an appropriate manner
• Aid in cooking preparations and perform general cleaning duties in the kitchen as requested
• Adhere to health and safety protocols, which involve following procedures for food preparation and handling

Qualifications and Experience:

• Although previous experience in a dishwasher or kitchen support role is preferred, it is not obligatory
• Competence in utilizing commercial dishwashers and adhering to sanitation guidelines in culinary environments
• Competent in handling responsibilities adeptly in a speedy and high-capacity workplace
• Candidates who hold a high school diploma or an equivalent GED are preferred
• Excelling in time management and being detail-oriented are vital competencies
• Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities evident in all endeavors
• The capacity to be on one's feet for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Salary:

• Earning potential is pegged between $12 and $16 per hour, with the rate modified according to experience, availability, and quality of work delivered.
