The job requires provision of support for the store's operational responsibilities as assigned and delegated by the Store Manager and focus should be laid primarily on front-end and sales floor tasks. The role also demands assistance in the hiring, training, and career development of store employees as assigned by the Store Manager
The incumbent must also develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's activities
- Assist with all store-related tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations as directed by the Store Manager
- Having the ability to carry out all commencement and completion procedures in the nonappearance of the Store Manager
- Work with the store manager to ensure the protection and safety of all company assets, including the store's cash
- It is essential to comply with all the guidelines and protocols, including the safety procedures, to maintain a safe and secure workplace
- Create a welcoming and courteous atmosphere for individuals who interact with you, including customers, associates, and higher-ups
- Perform the upkeep of all zones in the store, comprising the stockroom and sales floor, in accordance with the company criteria, which covers refreshing of commodities
- The Store Manager's absence leads to someone else having to supervise the hourly Associates
- Ensure that all instructions provided by SSC Corporate are followed, including those related to Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information
- In addition to the assigned tasks, the Store Manager may delegate extra responsibilities involving communication regarding store activities
- Assist the Store Supervisor in overseeing the intake and reimbursement of items delivered directly to the store.
- It is crucial to follow the VIP and DSD policies and procedures to maintain compliance and avoid any potential legal implications
- Work with the Store Manager to guarantee each shift has the required number of employees
- Work alongside the store manager to make sure that the sales floor is consistently producing sales results
- Assist with the management of cashiering activities to ensure that all company approved cash handling procedures are followed by all employees
- The promotional impact of storefront fixtures and displays
- Provide support to enhance seasonal sales productivity
- Implementing optimal signage within the store environment
- Simplifying the Process of Handling DSD Product Returns
- On a daily basis, the damaged inventory is dealt with accordingly
- Support the creation of weekly employee schedules in collaboration with the Store Manager
- Provide support in maintaining supplies and controlling expenses in the store
- Maximize sales potential by assisting in the set up and organization of checkout area displays that promote a sense of urgency to buy
- It is important to refill coolers and store-front program racks/displays every day to make certain that essential products like balloon program, sunglasses, batteries, etc. are always available for customers
- Provide support in managing the Drive Item program
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Retail and management expertise are preferred
- Excellent proficiency in communication, interpersonal, and composition skills
- Skilled in executing tasks that involve lifting, bending and transporting items weighing up to 50lbs
- Having the capacity to work productively in an energetic group environment
