Responsibilities:

Safety regulations are paramount to this position, and it is crucial to maintain strict compliance with these regulations. Additionally, the role involves reinforcing the significance of safety measures in all endeavors while consistently following policies, procedures, and activities concerning food safety and quality.

The primary duty of the maintenance manager is to oversee equipment maintenance, repairs, and installation procedures in the facility. They also handle the recruitment, scheduling and professional growth of all production maintenance staff.

Qualifications:

• Acknowledges personal accountability for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for colleagues. Follows all safety measures and embeds safety and health considerations into tasks and responsibilities.
• Maintains adherence to safe work procedures, strictly follows Good Manufacturing Practices, and maintains a clean environment to ensure that product quality is not compromised. Without hesitation, reports unsafe conditions or unsafe food conditions that could endanger employees or affect the quality of food to management.
• Takes part in safety meetings and shows an interest in the topics being discussed.
• The adherence to regulatory requirements is maintained at all times.
• Overseeing maintenance crew.
• Create work orders and schedule maintenance activities.
• Accountable for the installation of new equipment.
• Investigate and eliminate equipment malfunctions by identifying specific components that require repair or replacement.
• Ensures the safety of personnel in the workplace.
• Acknowledges and addresses operational glitches to prevent any disruption in the workflow.
• Collaborates with each department to establish a coordinated work relationship.
• Ensures that company regulations are enforced equitably and uniformly.
• Welcomes proposals from employees to upgrade the quality of the products or services offered, enhance safety measures or reduce production costs.
• Informs the manager of any complications that arise with regard to operations or staff and that may necessitate their intervention or knowledge.
• Schedule crew overtime.
• Assist and take charge of maintenance specialists in pinpointing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues across all utility equipment.
• Following safe work procedures, adhering to GMPs, sustaining hygienic surroundings, and preserving the quality of products are critical. Notify the management of any situations or habits that could harm food security, food excellence, or human well-being.
• Follow the established safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Execute tasks as directed by superiors.
