Job Description:

As a Heavy Equipment Operator / Loader Operator at Waste Management, Inc., you will play a crucial role in our waste management operations. Operating a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to the spreading and compaction of construction demolition, commercial, and residential waste. Your primary duties will include:

• Operating heavy equipment vehicles to efficiently spread and compact waste materials.
• Moving and positioning raw materials and finished components using material moving equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all times.
• Performing routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and workflow.
• Adhering to established procedures and guidelines for waste management operations.
• Assisting with other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment vehicles, preferably in a waste management or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime as needed.
