Job Summary:
The Auto Fleet Technician, supervised generally, performs preventive maintenance services and conducts thorough inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on vehicles and equipment.

The effective completion of this task requires the satisfactory execution of each critical function. Minor tasks may also be designated.
- The required completion of tasks is based on established procedures and written guidelines, with limited guidance and supervision.
- Executes fixes and scheduled preventative maintenance actions.
- The individual carries out inspections, diagnoses, and corrections of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air constructions that are operated in automobiles and vehicles.
- Uses the sophisticated electronics systems of automobiles to identify and diagnose any defects, enabling quick and accurate repair assignments.
- Accurately predicting the monetary and material costs associated with repairing vehicles and ordering fresh components is a critical responsibility for anyone working in this field.
- Maintains the recommended Standard Repair Time (SRT) while performing all work responsibilities.
- Urgent maintenance requests are attended to ensure minimum downtime.
- Making sure that a vehicle is safe by performing essential checks has become vital.
- In order to document vehicle repairs, parts usage and repair times, required paperwork must be completed using fleet maintenance software.
- Aids senior Mechanics in accomplishing project goals.
- The Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports are closely scrutinized for any repairs that need to be carried out. The repairs identified are either reviewed, completed or assigned for further action.
- Adheres to safety protocols while keeping their work area tidy and secure in accordance with Corporate and OSHA Standards.
