Cleaning Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and attentive Cleaning Specialist to join our kitchen team. Playing an essential role in the operations behind the scenes, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and availability of dishware, supporting food safety standards, and contributing to an orderly kitchen environment. Responsibilities:

• Make sure to wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and utensils frequently and consistently while working
• Keep kitchen tools such as mixers, stoves, ovens, and coffee machines free from dirt and grime
• Promptly clear tables and efficiently return soiled items to the dish station
• Dispose of litter, rinse out garbage containers, and comply with waste management protocols
• Help manage the organization and restocking of clean dishes and utensils to their appropriate storage locations
• Provide assistance with unloading shipments and storing inventory items appropriately
• Provide assistance with food preparation and general upkeep of the kitchen area as needed
• Follow all health and safety rules, including protocols for the safe and proper handling of food

Qualifications and Experience:

• Applicants with past experience in a dishwasher or kitchen support role will be given preference, although it is not a necessary qualification
• Proficient in managing industrial dishwashers and implementing proper sanitation practices in food service establishments
• Capable of working with precision in a fast-paced and high-volume situation
• Preferably, candidates will have either a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
• Excelling in time management and being detail-oriented are vital competencies
• Shows great skill in collaborating with others and conveying messages effectively
• Having the capability to withstand long periods of standing and lifting objects up to 50 pounds

Salary:

• The rate per hour is flexible, ranging between $12 and $16, with adjustments made considering experience level, availability, and overall job effectiveness.
