Custodial Worker

Job Summary:

Currently, we are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to become a part of our kitchen team. As a vital member of the back-of-house staff, your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and availability of dishware, supporting food safety standards, and contributing to the organization of the kitchen space. Responsibilities:

• Consistently wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils to promote cleanliness and food safety throughout the shift
• Make sure that the kitchen equipment, including mixers, stoves, ovens, and coffee machines, is consistently cleaned and sanitized
• Ensure the quick and effective busing of tables, returning dirty items promptly to the dish station
• Get rid of trash, clean garbage bins, and follow proper waste disposal procedures
• Assist in arranging and replenishing sanitized dishes and cutlery in their respective areas
• Help in the process of receiving deliveries and storing inventory according to guidelines
• Support in preparing food and carrying out routine cleaning tasks in the kitchen whenever required
• Uphold compliance with health and safety regulations, specifically those regarding the handling of food

Qualifications and Experience:

• Candidates who have worked in a dishwasher or kitchen support role before are preferred, but it is not a mandatory prerequisite
• Expertise in industrial dishwashing equipment and procedures for maintaining sanitary conditions in culinary workspaces
• Adroit at functioning effectively in a high-pace and high-volume work environment
• Having a high school diploma or its GED equivalent is advantageous
• Strong time management capabilities coupled with a focus on particulars are essential
• Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities evident in all endeavors
• The skill to stand for extended periods and carry loads weighing up to 50 pounds

Salary:

• Hourly earnings are between $12 and $16 and can vary based on experience, schedule availability, and job performance.
