The role demands that the assistant provides aid and assistance in implementing operational tasks within the store allocated by the Store Manager; paying particular attention to front-end and sales floor duties. Additionally, providing support in hiring, training, and nurturing the growth of store workers is required

The incumbent must also ensure that the organization complies with all applicable laws and regulations related to its business activities:

  • Help execute store policies and procedures as directed by the Store Manager
  • Knowledgeable in executing all initiation and conclusion protocols when the Store Manager is not present
  • Work alongside the store manager to shield and uphold all corporate property, particularly the cash reserves of the store
  • It is imperative to adhere to all the regulations and protocols, including the safety procedures, to establish and maintain a safe and secure working environment
  • Cultivate a culture of respect and professionalism with clients, subordinates, and management
  • Adhere to company regulations regarding the upkeep of all sections of the store, such as the inventory storage area and retail floor, including the recovery of any merchandise
  • Directly supervising all hourly Associates falls on someone else's shoulders if the Store Manager is not available
  • Execute all necessary actions related to SSC Corporate directives, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information, to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Tasks related to communication regarding store activities may be delegated to the Assistant Manager by the Store Manager
  • Help the Manager of the store to oversee the receiving and reimbursement of direct-store-delivery items.
  • Strict adherence to the VIP and DSD protocols is essential for ensuring the safety and security of sensitive information and customer data
  • Work with the Store Manager to ensure that employee absences or tardiness do not affect daily operations
  • Work with the store manager to make certain that the sales area is achieving sales targets daily
  • Support the management of cashiering activities by providing coaching and guidance to all members of staff to ensure that approved cash handling procedures are followed at all times
  • Enhancing product marketing through store-front fixtures and displays
  • Provide guidance in achieving maximum sales potential in the store's seasonal departments
  • Incorporating signage to improve navigability and ease of shopping
  • Efficiently Managing the Receipt and Return of DSD Products
  • Daily operations include processing spoiled merchandise
  • Facilitate the creation of employee schedules with the Store Manager on a weekly basis
  • Assist with the management of store supplies and budgeting
  • Create a welcoming and organized checkout area by monitoring inventory levels and keeping all products fully stocked
  • It is important to restock coolers and store-front program racks/displays, including balloon program, sunglasses, batteries, etc., on a daily basis to prevent customers from experiencing inconvenience
  • Offer assistance in controlling the Drive Item activity

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail and management is a plus
  • Proficient at effective communication, interpersonal relationship building, and writing
  • Possesses the physical aptitude required to lift, handle, and transport products that weigh up to 50lbs without causing injury
  • Being efficient and effective in a group that works in a highly charged environment
