Dish Cleaning Assistant

Job Summary:

Currently, we have an opening for a dependable and meticulous Dish Cleaning Assistant to become a part of our kitchen team. In this essential role within our back-of-house team, you will play a key part in ensuring the cleanliness and availability of dishware, supporting food safety protocols, and contributing to a well-maintained kitchen atmosphere. Responsibilities:

• Regularly wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and utensils to uphold hygiene standards during working hours
• Maintain the cleanliness of culinary equipment including mixers, stovetops, ovens, and coffee makers
• Ensure swift and efficient clearing of tables with timely return of soiled items to the dish station
• Dispose of garbage properly, clean out trash bins, and follow waste disposal protocols
• Help with the organization and replenishment of washed dishes and cutlery to their respective areas
• Help with unloading deliveries and storing inventory in an appropriate manner
• Support in food handling tasks and assist in maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen when called upon
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by strictly adhering to guidelines for food handling

Qualifications and Experience:

• Although previous experience in a dishwasher or kitchen support role is preferred, it is not obligatory
• Familiarity with kitchen hygiene standards and expertise in utilizing industrial dishwashing machinery
• Proficient in operating efficiently amidst a quick-paced and high-volume work setting
• The ideal qualification is a high school diploma or an equivalent GED
• Having strong skills in time organization and a sharp focus on specifics is important
• Demonstrates remarkable teamwork and skilled communication techniques
• Having the skill to stay on one's feet for extended periods and handle loads of up to 50 pounds

Salary:

• The payment per hour varies from $12 to $16, depending on the level of experience, availability for work, and job performance demonstrated.
