Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our business, managing transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring an efficient checkout experience. Your role will be critical in making sure our customers leave happy, and you will be responsible for handling cash, processing payments, and maintaining accuracy in all transactions. Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly when they enter and leave the store, providing a positive first and last impression.
- Transaction Management: Operate the cash register efficiently, managing all transactions accurately using a POS system.
- Payment Handling: Accept payments in cash, credit/debit cards, checks, or digital payment options and ensure all transactions are processed smoothly.
- Product Scanning: Scan and bag purchased goods, making sure all pricing, quantities, and items are accurately registered.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by addressing customer inquiries, processing returns, issuing refunds, and resolving complaints.
- Receipts and Change: Provide receipts, issue change, and maintain accuracy in cash handling.
- Promotions & Upselling: Inform customers of special offers, promotions, and upsell products when appropriate.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Team Collaboration: Assist team members when needed, work together to ensure smooth store operations, and contribute to the team’s overall success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Skills:Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers.
- Strong math skills with the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and resolve issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Basic computer knowledge is a plus.

Salary:
Hourly Rate: $12 - $15 per hour, depending on experience and location.
