Job Summary:

As a District Manager at Popeyes, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, profitability, and performance of up to six Popeyes restaurants within an assigned district. This is a leadership role where you will manage the sales performance, ensure operational excellence, and develop a high-performing team of Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) and staff. You will be instrumental in driving growth, maximizing efficiency, and maintaining brand standards across your assigned locations. Your efforts will directly impact the success of the district and contribute to the overall brand's growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and ensure that all assigned restaurants are operating efficiently, meeting Popeyes’ corporate standards, and achieving key performance metrics.
  • Team Management: Oversee and manage Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) and ensure that the restaurants are staffed with qualified shift supervisors and crew members.
  • Sales Performance: Develop and execute strategies to achieve top-line sales goals for each restaurant in your district, ensuring performance aligns with budgeted targets.
  • Profitability & Cost Control: Create and implement plans to control expenses and maximize operating profit, focusing on the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement for each restaurant.
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Ensure that restaurants are staffed properly with qualified personnel, including hiring and terminating restaurant general managers, and conducting performance reviews for RGMs, assistant managers, and staff.
  • Training & Development: Work with RGMs to identify training needs and ensure that appropriate training programs are executed to strengthen the restaurant management teams and staff.
  • Compliance & Policy Adherence: Ensure that all restaurants comply with Popeyes’ policies and procedures, as well as state and federal labor laws. Assist RGMs with compliance in areas like security, safety, cash handling, and sexual harassment policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: A 3-year college business degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience in the restaurant industry.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in multi-unit management within the food industry is preferred.
  • Extensive and successful experience as a Restaurant General Manager (RGM) or in similar management roles.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and human relations skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including active listening, oral, and written communication. The ability to interact effectively with staff, customers, and senior management.
  • Operational Knowledge: In-depth understanding of restaurant operations, including budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and respond to operational challenges promptly.
