Custodian

Job Summary:

We are on the hunt for a trustworthy and meticulous individual to fill the role of Custodian within our kitchen team. Serving as an integral part of our back-of-house team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and accessibility of dishware, adhering to food safety guidelines, and promoting an organized kitchen atmosphere. Responsibilities:

• Adhere to a regular schedule of washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, and utensils throughout the shift to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen machinery like mixers, stoves, ovens, and coffee makers to prevent contamination
• Clear tables efficiently and promptly return used items to the dish station for cleaning
• Clear garbage, wash out trash receptacles, and adhere to waste disposal regulations
• Support in the organization and restocking of clean kitchenware and silverware to their designated places
• Support the team by assisting with unloading deliveries and organizing inventory efficiently
• Aid in food prep activities and general kitchen hygiene duties whenever necessary
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, particularly those outlining the correct procedures for handling food appropriately

Qualifications and Experience:

• Although it is preferred, previous experience in a dishwasher or kitchen support role is not a requirement for candidates
• Skill in using commercial dishwashers and adherence to kitchen sanitation standards for ensuring cleanliness in food service areas
• Masterful in executing tasks efficiently in a fast-paced and high-volume setting
• Consideration is given to applicants who possess a high school diploma or its GED alternative
• Demonstrating proficiency in managing time well and paying attention to specifics is crucial
• Proficient in working as part of a team and effectively communicating to achieve common goals
• The capacity to be on one's feet for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Salary:

• The pay scale is set at $12 to $16 per hour, with actual compensation determined by the individual's experience, availability, and performance level.
