Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize workstations with essential ingredients and tools, Ensure workstations are equipped with required ingredients and tools, Arrange and supply workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment, Establish and fill workstations with essential ingredients and tools, Organize and provision workstations with required ingredients and equipment, Equip workstations with necessary ingredients and tools, Ready workstations with essential ingredients and equipment, Arrange and stock workstations with required ingredients and tools, Provide workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment, Set up workstations with essential ingredients and tools
  • Get ready by prepping ingredients like dicing vegetables, slicing meats, and dividing portions
  • Prepare dishes using a range of cooking techniques such as grilling, baking, frying, boiling, and more
  • Keep an eye on the food while it cooks to make sure it is prepared correctly and timed accurately
  • Make sure each meal is visually appealing before it is brought to the table
  • Ensure the kitchen space is kept clean, sanitized, and well-organized at all times
  • Maintain the freshness and safety of food and supplies by storing them correctly
  • Verify and maintain the standard of components utilized
  • Monitor stock levels and notify of any deficiencies or arrange for replenishment as necessary

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated track record as a chef working in a formal culinary environment
  • Proficient understanding of a range of cooking methods and culinary tools
  • Understanding food safety and hygiene protocols when cooking is essential
  • Demonstrating the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining productivity in stressful situations
  • Skilled in collaboration, with outstanding abilities to communicate effectively within a team
  • Capable of prolonged standing and lifting objects when required
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is necessary, with the additional benefit of holding a culinary school certificate
