Mill Operations Specialist

Responsibilities:

This role involves the delivery, combination, and supervision of animal food on the farms. The employee must possess a mechanical expertise and a Class A CDL license.

As a mandatory step in the application process, you will need to submit paperwork verifying your previous driving records and history of drug and alcohol usage.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Tasked with creating a balanced diet for livestock as per the directions of the mill supervisor.
• Organize the feed orders and deliveries into their rightful bin spots.
• In charge of overseeing all the feed ingredients and ensuring they are correctly allocated to their respective bins.
• Carry out regular inspections to ensure the smooth operation of the mill and maintain the truck and tractor in a good condition.
• Perform minor and, if necessary, major renovations and upgrades on structures and buildings.
• Responsible for ensuring that the mill and office areas are kept clean and well-maintained.
• The precision of inventory and records is vital.
• To ensure the high quality of products and favorable work conditions, it is imperative to adhere to safety policies, maintain cleanliness, and follow standard operating procedures. Notify the relevant authorities of any incidents or situations that have the potential to pose risks to the safety of employees, the quality of food products, or feed security.

Qualifications:

The minimum educational and experiential requirement for this job includes a high school diploma, GED or an equivalent accreditation.

Proficiency in language: The capacity to peruse and comprehend papers like security rules, working and upkeep guidelines, and procedural manuals. The ability to compose standard reports and communicate effectively through correspondence. The ability to convey a message to audiences effectively such as customers, vendors, or workers within the company.

In mathematics, a substantial command of basic algebraic principles is necessary to perform numerical operations effectively.

The ability to define problems, gather information, establish facts, and make valid conclusions denotes reasoning ability. Also, it involves the competence to apprehend numerous complex technical instructions presented pictorially or numerically while coping with both concrete and abstract variables.

Obtaining a CDL Class A license is a significant accomplishment, as the process involves rigorous training and testing to ensure that drivers are capable of safely operating commercial vehicles

• Mechanical dexterity is a core requirement.
• Dusty conditions are possible in the work environment, making it unsuitable for those with breathing problems.
• Possessing the capability to climb ladders and stairs both up and down, as well as ascend to a height of up to 80 feet.
• Can safely hoist items weighing 100 lbs on an occasional basis.
• Efficiency to execute tasks in an exposed atmosphere for an extended time.
