Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Automotive Mechanic conducts preventive maintenance and meticulously inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipment.

• The completion of assigned tasks is achieved by following established procedures and written instructions with little supervision.
• Executes fixes and scheduled preventative maintenance actions.
• They perform assessments, examinations, and refurbishments of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air networks on equipment and transportation.
• Utilizes the computerized features of vehicles to interpret possible malfunctions and allocate repair responsibilities accordingly.
• Predicting and managing the financial and material expenditures required for vehicle repairs and requisitioning new components is an essential duty for professionals who work in this field.
• Efficiently accomplishes all assigned duties, ensuring compliance with the Standard Repair Time (SRT) guidelines.
• Swift service calls are made for urgent breakdowns and malfunctions.
• Safety checks for vehicles are essential to make sure that they meet the required safety standards.
• Proper completion of required paperwork relating to documenting vehicle repairs, parts usage, and repair times is achieved through the use of fleet maintenance software.
• Assists senior Mechanics in successfully completing project assignments.
• Driving a well-maintained vehicle is essential for the safety of all those using the highways. The Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports are reviewed frequently for any repairs required, which are then assigned or completed as needed.
• Follows established safety protocols to ensure a clean and secure workspace, in compliance with Corporate and OSHA Standards.
