About the Role

Holcim US is currently seeking Skid Steer Operators to join our Asphalt division. The successful candidate will operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to support project operations. This role includes coordinating on-site activities, managing equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation checks of equipment daily.

• Load various materials into dump trucks using skid steer equipment.

• Stockpile and transport materials within equipment load limits.

• Operate equipment per specifications and safety guidelines.

• Park and shut down equipment properly after use.

• Maintain cleanliness of equipment inside and out.

• Assist in basic preventive maintenance of equipment.

• Avoid unauthorized alterations to equipment.

• Report any issues or abnormalities to the supervisor.

• Follow all site-specific safety protocols and procedures.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in heavy equipment operation.

• Strong leadership skills; able to lead by example.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

• Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and planning tasks.

• Proficient in operating various equipment including skid steers, loaders, graders, bulldozers, and backhoes.

• Mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance tasks.

• High attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

• Ability to dig, build, and maneuver heavy materials efficiently.

Additional Requirements

• Must demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.

• Must adhere to PPE guidelines, including respirator use where required.

• Must be clean-shaven where respirator seal meets the face, per safety standards.
