Facility Maintenance Worker

Job Summary:

We are in need of a reliable and detail-focused Facility Maintenance Worker to join our kitchen team. Tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and accessibility of dishware, upholding food safety standards, and assisting in the organization of the kitchen area, you will play a vital role in our daily operations. Responsibilities:

• Make sure to wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and utensils frequently and consistently while working
• Make sure that the kitchen equipment, including mixers, stoves, ovens, and coffee machines, is consistently cleaned and sanitized
• Clear tables efficiently and promptly return used items to the dish station for cleaning
• Get rid of trash, clean garbage bins, and follow proper waste disposal procedures
• Help manage the organization and restocking of clean dishes and utensils to their appropriate storage locations
• Aid in the reception of deliveries and ensuring the correct placement of items in storage
• Assist with food preparation tasks and participate in general kitchen cleaning responsibilities when required
• Maintain adherence to health and safety standards, particularly those concerning the safe handling of food

Qualifications and Experience:

• Preference given to candidates with prior dishwasher or kitchen support experience, although it is not mandatory
• Knowledge of commercial dishwashers and best practices for ensuring hygienic conditions in restaurant kitchens
• Adept at excelling in a fast-paced and high-traffic environment
• The ideal qualification is a high school diploma or an equivalent GED
• The ability to manage time effectively and be attentive to detail is key
• Displays outstanding teamwork capabilities and exceptional communication proficiency
• The ability to be upright for extended periods and handle weights of up to 50 pounds

Salary:

• Compensation is set at an hourly rate between $12 and $16, with adjustments made according to the candidate's background, availability, and job proficiency.
