Maintenance Custodian

Job Summary:

Currently, we are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Custodian to become a part of our kitchen team. As a vital member of the back-of-house staff, your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and availability of dishware, supporting food safety standards, and contributing to the organization of the kitchen space. Responsibilities:

• Continuously clean and sanitize dishes, pots, and kitchen utensils to meet cleanliness requirements throughout the work shift
• Preserve the hygienic state of kitchen devices like mixers, stoves, ovens, and coffee machines
• Ensure swift and efficient clearing of tables with timely return of soiled items to the dish station
• Get rid of rubbish, sanitize garbage containers, and adhere to waste disposal regulations
• Aid in organizing and restocking sanitized kitchenware and silverware to their rightful places
• Aid in the unloading of shipments and correctly storing items in the inventory
• Provide help with food prepping and general maintenance of the kitchen area whenever necessary
• Abide by all health and safety guidelines, specifically those related to the proper handling of food

Qualifications and Experience:

• While prior experience in a dishwasher or kitchen support role is preferred, it is not a strict prerequisite for applicants
• Proficient in managing industrial dishwashers and implementing proper sanitation practices in food service establishments
• Adroit at functioning effectively in a high-pace and high-volume work environment
• Consideration is given to applicants who possess a high school diploma or its GED alternative
• Strong time management capabilities coupled with a focus on particulars are essential
• Shows great skill in collaborating with others and conveying messages effectively
• The ability to be upright for extended periods and handle weights of up to 50 pounds

Salary:

• Hourly earnings are between $12 and $16 and can vary based on experience, schedule availability, and job performance.
