Job Summary:

Heavy Machinery Operator

Performs multifaceted preventive maintenance responsibilities and conducts troubleshooting and repair activities on various equipment, including trucks and yellow iron.

The incumbent in this role must be adept at prioritizing tasks in order of importance and responding to urgent matters in a timely and efficient manner:

In order to excel in this role, an individual must complete each crucial task competently. Furthermore, inconsequential tasks may also be allocated.

• Ensure that all equipment is in optimum working condition by repairing them as and when required, including bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars.
• Expertise in fixing various mechanical and electrical components such as differentials, motors, transmissions, drives, hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
• Carries out duties according to the preventative maintenance checklist provided.
• Records maintenance work using various documents like card files, P.M. checklists, and oil samples to ensure that the information is up-to-date.
• Provides maintenance and servicing for a variety of equipment, including light plants, water pumps, and welders.
• Make sure that all site-specific procedures and job descriptions are up-to-date and accurate, and that they reflect any changes or updates to the site's operations or processes.
• Fulfilling any other tasks given.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Not responsible for overseeing others.

Qualifications:

• Education: Not required.

The job seeker must have gained at least six (6) years of relevant professional experience.

The potential to undertake the physical responsibilities of the role, either with or without justifiable modifications.

It may also call for the talent to convey required tasks or repairs effectively to others, diagnose faults, as well as remedy a variety of issues with vehicles and equipment. Furthermore, knowledge of a fleet maintenance software program and awareness of the Total Tire Maintenance Program could also be mandatory.

Work Environment:

Note:

The anticipated pay range for this role is between $35.00 to $41.00 per hour.
