Responsibilities:

Strict adherence to safety policies and procedures is necessary for the person in this role, alongside reinforcing the importance of safety at all times. Following protocols concerning food quality and safety activities, policies, and procedures is also significant, as it helps to minimize process and product variance.

The maintenance director is to be responsible for equipment maintenance, repair, and installation in the facility, as well as the training, scheduling, and development of all production maintenance personnel.

Qualifications:

• Assumes personal liability for creating a safe and healthy work environment for colleagues. Adheres to safety regulations and includes safety and health in every aspect of job performance.
• Follows safe work protocols in tandem with GMPs, preserves clean working conditions and ensures product quality is sustained. Reports to management instantly any practices or conditions that pose a danger to employee safety or food safety/quality for timely intervention.
• Attends safety meetings diligently and exhibits a proactive attitude towards safety.
• Regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
• Leadership of maintenance crew.
• Schedule corrective actions and follow-up tasks.
• Tasked with ensuring the successful integration of newly acquired equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions by analyzing the system's performance data and pinpointing specific issues.
• Creates a secure workplace setting for employees.
• Identifies and tackles any operating obstacles to ensure uninterrupted workflow and minimal loss.
• Collaborates with each department to create a working atmosphere characterized by coordination.
• Adheres to a fair and objective approach when enforcing company policies.
• Supports a culture of continuous improvement where employees are incentivized to offer constructive proposals that can enhance various aspects of the company's operations.
• Notifies the manager of any operational or workforce concerns that may necessitate their intervention or knowledge.
• Schedule crew overtime.
• Collaborate with and guide maintenance technicians to detect and troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical defects affecting any utility machinery.
• To maintain secure working conditions, observe GMP guidelines, maintain a clean environment, and guarantee product quality is sustained. Should any actions or situations that can threaten food safety, food quality, or human safety arise, notify the management.
• Uphold the safety policies and procedures at all times without deviation.
• Complete any additional obligations as designated.
